Ramariopsis kunzei (Fr.) Donk Fruit body 2-10cm high, usually numerously branched, compound; snow-white at first, tinged with pink in maturity; scurfy. Stem up to lcm or none, scruffy-hairy. Flesh pliant to fragile; white. Spores broadly ellipsoid to subglobose, with minute spines, 3-5.5 x 2.5-4.5µ. Deposit white. Habitat in groups or clusters on humus in the woods. Sometimes common. Found in Europe and widely distributed in northeastern North America and from the Pacific Northwest to southern California. Season July-October. Said to be edible.
